A well-equipped operating room
A wide variety of small animal surgeries are performed in
the sterile environment of our operating room. Surgical
services available include orthopedic surgeries,
hysterectomies, intestinal surgeries, castrations, tumor
removals, and urological surgeries. In addition to high
quality surgical instruments, our operating room has a modern
gas anesthetic machine which can administer halothane,
metofane or nitrous oxide. A cardiac monitor with an EKG
read-out is used during surgery to check the patient's vital
signs.
Our laboratory provides on-site testing and our pharmacy
carries the most needed medications.
To aid in diagnosing health problems, our laboratory is
equipped to perform a variety of tests. These include 12 blood
chemistries on the serometer, complete blood count, cultures
and sensitivities. Also, the lab contains a teaching
microscope with a dual head. This lets your veterinarian show
you the appearance of suspicious specimens from your pet.
Our well-stocked pharmacy contains a wide assortment of
prescription and over-the-counter medications. These include
antibiotics, antihelminics (de-wormers), cardiovascular and
respiratory medications, intestinal protectants, neurological
medications, medication for allergies and ear and eye
medications.
